It’s out! SBS released today the full clip of the final epilogue in Man from the Stars! While it only adds an extra minute of footage, the ending does feel better fleshed out, and there’s even a nice hint for the future!

After Min Joon appears back at Song Yi’s side, saying “I’m home”, the new part shows Min Joon and Song Yi moving into a large house in the suburbs! They look blissfully happy and it’s so nice to see them get the ending they deserve.
There may not be any additional dialogue, but words are not needed to see how content these two are. The final moment shows Song Yi and Min Joon relaxing on a swing in their own yard.
Just look at that loving gaze from Min Joon!
All in all, it’s a sweet ending and I wish it could have been aired with the actual episode. The extra minute would have helped put my heart at ease. It’s nice to see a glimpse at what their future will be like since the tight, almost desperate hug that we were left with before just made me afraid that their happiness wouldn’t last. Their new house and wide smiles make me feel much more secure about what comes next for these two.
But the question remains… Where are their 7 kids and 5 dogs!?
Now that would have been the perfect ending! Who knows, this show has been so widely popular I wouldn’t put it past the production staff to keep releasing little extra clips. I know I’m not the only who eats them up like candy!
Heck, the director even announced that he’s thinking about making a sequel or prequel. I’m still not sure how I feel about that, but if it means I get to see more Min Joon and Song Yi interactions, then I’m 100% for it. As the picture above states, I want to see their babies!

There wouldn’t be a point on a sequel (in my opinion) just little clips of how they lived happily ever after…. A prequel wouldn’t be a good idea either because that wouldn’t be a love story, or at least it wouldn’t involve do min joon since cheong song ji (the joseon era girl?) is his first love. So… They should be smarth enough to just leave it the way it is…!!! My english kind of sucks so I hope you get my point here hehehehehehe… Greetings from Mexico

I agree, a prequel would probably just make everyone angry. If Min Joon and Song Yi weren’t together, it’s not really a show that I would want to watch. However, I’d definitely be in favor of extra epilogues that showcase their happy life!

Some of their dreams have come true – moved to a bigger house with a backyard..so we can only assume that their other dreams, which is to have 7 babies and 5 dogs would also come true soon..although I have a doubt in my mind about that..you see, he once mentioned that in their planet,there were no families..so how did they procreate? They might procreate differently from human, and if that’s the case, can he make her pregnant after all?
Another thing is, had he fully recovered from the ‘kissing illness’? If he still passes out after kissing her, can they make love? and how about the aging issue? Seems like we still have a few questions unanswered..
As for me, I think I’m satisfied enough with the ending. Yes, it isn’t perfect, but it’s more realistic. After all, he’s an alien. Can’t expect much from that, right? There must be some limitation they have to deal with..what matters is that they make use of the time available to stick together, and enjoy every moments they have. I’m glad that the writer didn’t end it with him suddenly become a human (that would be unrealistic, even for a fantasy!)
Well, at least they can raise 5 dogs together ^_^ I’m just happy for them, and I’m gonna miss them terribly! Huuhuuu #cry

Yes, the kissing illness stuff never really got addressed! I was waiting for an answer, and I wouldn’t even have needed a logical one! Oh well, at least they are able to begin a very life together. They deserve the best!

a good sequel can be made out from your comment and those things can be the challenges that both of them needs to solve and the sequel can be a man vs. nature or man vs. himself kind of drama. i really hope someone from their production or the director or their writer would read your comment so that they can use it as a basis if their really planning to make a sequel… and i hope and wish they would… 😉

I don’t think prequel is required since it will not include jun ji hyun character. Sequel would be nice. If not possible i can be happy if they can show extra episodes (2-3) just to close the story showing them as married couple with their babies & dogs. I also want happy ending for some supporting characters like Whi-Kyung, Yoo Se-Mi or if Song Yi’s brother Yoon-Jae will be successful. I also want to see attorney Jang.

I think they are in the talking for the sequel, but I doubt that JJH will be in that sequel. It is really sad, but I don’t think she is going to join the sequel. Plus KSH is going to be in the army next year.

I think the kissing part got addressed somehow or the writers decided to leave it open-ended. Remember the really passionate kiss on the red carpet? That addresses the passing out bit, no?
But I love love love this drama. Faith has always been my no. 1 but MLFAS has bumped faith down to no.2.
I totally love the way the story lines of KDramas. There’s always humour and twists, even though the twists are like cliches. But I especially liked the twists in MLFAS.
This epilogue is okay for me, no more. I’m sad to see it end but I need to return to real life. 😦

I really wanted to see how they got married and to the point where they have all their 7 babies and 5 dogs all playing and running around in the yard!! OMO!!! I JUST CANT GET ENOUGH OF THIS DRAMA! :”)

Well the effect of the drama like Man from another star is making people more crazyness like people here in the philippines.. Always on time on the front of televesion..
This drama everybody is really want to watch this very welknown here in our country.
Congratulation to the wonderful person who really spend to much time just to give best quality of his/her ubra maestra.. So amazing kind of Alien..Please if they want more more money They should plan about part 2..
And Complete the story line by line..and connect the 7babies and 5dogs in the end of stories.. I believe Love is more powerfull to colect money.. Because of tbe great story.. Thank you.

What a lovely epilogue. I’m quite satisfied with it. While it wouldn’t hurt for them to make a sequel I think I like how open ended they left the ending. It’s satisfying and positive enough for fans but there is room to speculate about their life later on 🙂
I’m happy this is the Kdrama I watched to fulfillment. 🙂
